They say everything is bigger in Texas and the sport fishing industry certainly holds up its end of that saying. In Texas, sport fishing, primarily bass fishing, has spread rapidly as a hobby and even a career of choice. While it is a nationally competitive sport, Texas’ wealth of lakes and temperature has driven it to the top of the forum. Businesses within the industry have identified the Texas market as very lucrative and have made great strides to get their products here fast and in bulk. Many people have wondered why, in an area where there are so many lakes and so much interest in the sport, there is not a show that truly reflects both the enormity of the interest here as well as Texas in itself. LURE 2008 solves this!

LURE 2008 is a hybrid exposition, in essence it combines the traditional exposition with the consumer tradeshow. While there are large shows whose focus is on the sport fishing industry, none come to Texas and they are primarily for the buyers. Here in Texas, we are bigger than the rest and more hospitable than the rest. In other words, everyone is welcome to attend LURE 2008.
